Ecuador returns to choose “the Socialism of the 21st century”

On April 26, Ecuador once again realized general elections to choose the President and Vice-president of the country. In addition, they were chosen to mayors and councilmen of all the “cantones” that belongs to the Ecuadoran territory.

For the first time in the Ecuador, in the epoch of return of the democracy, which a candidate presidency won, for the most part, in the first election time. Rafael Correa, reelect president, again governs from Carondelet for decision of 51,08 % of the Ecuadorians.

The victory of Movement Alianza PAIS, party of Correa, also met reflected in the majority of the Legislative Assembly and in the mayoralties of several cities of the Ecuador. For example, in Quito, Augusto Barrera, candidate for the party of the government, won in these elections.
"The people chose a trend of left side and it will not be defrauded ", said the reelect president Correa.

Nevertheless, the representatives of the parties of opposition did not conform to the results. The ex president and candidate for the Partido Sociedad Patriotica (PSP), Lucio Gutiérrez, exposed denunciations of an electoral fraud.

The international organizations who observed the electoral process (EU, OEA, Andean Parliament) indicated that the Ecuador lived a democratic day, but they called the attention of the Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) about of the functioning of the Juntas Intermedias de Escrutinios (JIE), because this system did not make the count of the votes agile.

Five “cantones” of the provinces of Manabí, Guayas, Loja and Zamora Chinchipe repeated the elections because the sympathizers of the parties, to favor and in opposition to the government, they fight and protested on this day. This Sunday they returned to vote and the results of these places wait to be counted officially until this Wednesday.

Despite that the votes are not registered in 100 %, Correa and his party obtains a victory that displaces to other options or trends. This Sunday, the 26th of April, Ecuador chose the continuity of a government of trend of left side that inhales big changes for the country.

Xenophobia in a half-caste world

I do not understand how so much richness can fit in a planet. Where there exist more than 6 912 living languages that are practiced for more than 24 000 etnas recognized, or for 6 000 million persons that we live in this world.

But the really inexplicable thing is that the human being comes down to obeying its instinct of survival and to stuffing some to others to favor our space, tastes or way of life; without noticing that it destroys us increasingly.

¿Why cannot this multicultural exchequer be estimated and respected?, the assaults xenophobic full 21st century are alarming, and to my point of view, ridiculous.

Marcelo Lucero (murdered in Long Island, last November 2), Maria José (minor attacked in Colmenarejo, Spain, and that was recorded by the cellular one) and José and Oswaldo Sucuzhanay (brutally struck, in New York, and the latter is in vegetative condition on having received strong blows in his head), they are the Ecuadorians who listened to phrases as(like): " disgusting Latin person ", " kill him " or shouts that they were saying: " give him harder ".

The outrageous thing is that on having visualized this type of aggressions for fright and rejection to "foreign" nationalities, only they stay in the holders of press of a sensationalist way, the "sense condolence" on the part of the governments of the victim and, in strange cases, the aggressors are sanctioned.

There does not exist a project that endorses or protects our compatriots, that it is constant and possesses a weight in the international community of such force in order that this type of crimes do not stay in the impunity.

The life is no easy. Many of our compatriots leave their heart in the land where they were born, their families, way of life, food, music, in end one without number of elements that were cultivated from his arrival to the world. All that in exchange for a better economic situation, which has been obtained by arduous sweat abreast and surviving in very poor conditions.

I am granddaughter and daughter of migrants, am half-caste and take pride as my roots.

In addition, big metropolis they are populated by half-caste people already be in the European continent, in the American, the Asian etc. The United States is one of the countries that more cultures live in its territory, from the beginning of history until now.

It is necessary to remember that these ideas of the " Aryan race " concluded in world massacres, is inexcusable that do not remember the " black pages " of the universal history, opposite case we will be condemned to repeat it.

On the other hand, according to the Brazilian writer Jorge Amado, in his book " The shop of the miracles ", he exposes that the miscegenation is the essence of many settlements, since the above mentioned conjunction allows to the human being to develop other realities and that the life is not a monotony in its maximum expression.

I end up by asking: ¿Where is supreme human rationality on other alive beings?.
